Rule
20.1.3. Volleyball Canada Rulebook
The
libero can be neither team captain nor game captain. Volleyball Canada – For Volleyball Canada competitions, the team
captain can not be the libero for the first set of the match.
a) if the libero is re-designated after set one of subsequent
sets, the re-designated libero may be the player who is listed on the

b) If the above re-designation occurs, the coach must appoint
a new team captain. This is to be
recorded in the remarks section of the scoresheet.
c) At the conclusion of the match, the original team captain
is to sign the scoresheet.
Laura Aubertin (CON) – Millie Wood Colton (LAS) Action: CARRIED.
Rationale: This
exception is currently being used in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA).
Since the libero can be re-designated for each set and is recorded as a regular
player on the scoresheet, the player that MAY be used as a libero should be
afforded the priviledge of representing his or her team as the Team Captain
and/or Game Captain.

It is very difficult for small schools to maintain athletic programs that are competitive against schools up to six times their size,
And whereas,
NOSSA currently offers a championship in the “AAA” classification in which there are only four schools presently,
Be It Resolved That,
NOSSA offer a championship, designated as “B” (no advancement to OFSAA, no right of challenge to NOSSA “A” event winners), for all schools with 350 students or less,
And Be It Further Resolved That,
The necessary changes to the school classification guidelines, championship calendars and playing regulations follow as a result.

and 7th.
Alan

Reference: Semi Final Rotation
“That
Sudbury host NOSSA football semis in the Fall of 2006 and that the rest of the
rotation be adjusted accordingly.”
Paul Schutt (LAS) – Mike Strickland (LAS) Action: WITHDRAWN.
Rationale: The
